I wander as a shadow
Through the abyss of man's soul
This corrupt and brutal source
Of genocide and control
I'm creeping as a shadow
Through a burnt and ruined land
Where blinded brothers kill themselves
Due to a false command
I wander as a shadow
And watch maggots crawl high
Out of a soldier's mouth they raise
As black flies to the sky
I breathe the stench of bombs
And smell corrosion's scent
Lunatics, they take their lives
Into a suicide war they went
In darkest humiliation they carry the guns
There's blood on the windmills
As they are staring at the sun
On plains of devastation they bury their dead
There's blood on the windmills
A never-ending war so sad
I wander as a shadow
Through a world of deceit
Self-content and jealousy
On my journey's course I meet
We're all made of the same flesh
But separated by the mind
And by religious bigotry
Though we're all of the same kind
Through the abyss of man's soul
This corrupt and brutal source
Of genocide and control
I'm creeping as a shadow
Through a burnt and ruined land
Where blinded brothers kill themselves
Due to a false command
I wander as a shadow
And watch maggots crawl high
Out of a soldier's mouth they raise
As black flies to the sky
I breathe the stench of bombs
